Central College Interactive Digital Signage Donor Wall & Donor Panels
Interactive kiosk donor wall in a college auditorium lobby featuring a touchscreen display framed in wood, surrounded by acrylic donor panels

About This Project
A donor recognition installation is mounted on a white wall inside the lobby of Central College’s Douwstra Auditorium. The display combines traditional donor recognition with interactive digital content. A large black panel at the top reads “DOUWSTRA AUDITORIUM RENOVATION DONORS.”
At the center of the installation, a landscape touchscreen is recessed into a rich wood-grain panel. The screen displays the welcome page for Douwstra Auditorium, featuring a grayscale photo of the renovated space and navigation buttons labeled “History,” “Donors,” “Gallery,” and “Events.” A visitor stands in front of the display and interacts with the touchscreen.
Powered by Arreya Digital Signage, the interactive kiosk allows administrators to remotely update donor stories, photos, videos, event information, and other content through a cloud-based subscription service. Updates can be managed from any location without requiring on-site maintenance, ensuring the display remains current as the auditorium and fundraising initiatives evolve.
To the right of the digital display, a black vertical panel expresses appreciation for the generosity and support of the college community. Beyond it, several wood-backed donor panels are mounted beneath clear acrylic overlays. The panels recognize donors at multiple giving levels, including major gifts for the Hoekstra Family Stage and additional contributors in tiers ranging from $10,000 to more than $100,000.
The static donor panels are designed for easy updates, allowing names and recognition levels to be added or modified as new contributions are received. This combination of updateable donor panels and remotely managed digital content creates a flexible recognition system that can grow alongside the institution’s fundraising efforts.
The installation blends warm wood finishes, black architectural elements, and transparent acrylic panels to create a modern donor wall that honors contributors while providing an engaging digital experience. A staircase is visible to the left, and recycling bins sit in the corner of the lobby.
